FUOYE Alumni Commends Prof Oyawoye’s Reappointment as Director

The Federal University Oye-Ekiti (FUOYE) Alumni Association has commended Professor (Mrs.) Olubukola Mojisola Oyawoye on her well-deserved reappointment as the Director of the Advancement Centre at FUOYE.

According to the National Body of the Association, ” Prof. Oyawoye’s reappointment is a recognition of her tireless commitment and outstanding contributions to the growth and global visibility of our esteemed university”

Continuing, ” Since she took on the leadership of the Advancement Centre, she has worked relentlessly to elevate FUOYE’s reputation, driving initiatives that have improved the institution’s ranking and strengthened its relationships with stakeholders, especially alumni around the world”

Professor Oyawoye who was a former Commissioner of Environment in the state of Osun has contributed immensely to the development of the ivory tower

Among the Former Acting Vice Chancellor, Adeleke University, Ede, Nigeria, Professor Oyawoye’s remarkable achievements are:

  • Fundraising Success: Mobilising over ₦100 million in support of developmental projects that directly benefit both staff and students.

-Infrastructure Development: Leading the construction of the Fasina Conference Centre, a legacy project that provides the university with a modern hub for academic and administrative activities.

-Educational Innovation: Implementing Edutech initiatives that integrate entertainment, education, and digital technology into the learning experience, thereby preparing FUOYE students for global competitiveness.

-Scholarship Opportunities: Facilitating scholarship schemes that have alleviated the financial burden on many students and created pathways for academic excellence.

  • Alumni Support:Fostering continuous collaboration with the Alumni body to ensure that FUOYE graduates remain vital stakeholders in the university’s advancement agenda.

The Alumni Association acknowledged her unwavering support for alumni activities and her open-door policy, which have strengthened the relationship between the university and its graduates.

Meanwhile, Bishop Temitope Arogundade, National President of the FUOYE Alumni Association said: “Prof. Oyawoye is an embodiment of visionary leadership and service. Her reappointment is a testament to her proven ability to transform ideas into impactful projects.

“She has been a strong support and guide to us in the Alumni Association, assisting us in completing significant projects, such as the Alumni Office and donating fridges to the university, among numerous other initiatives. We, the alumni, celebrate her today and reaffirm our commitment to supporting her efforts in advancing FUOYE to greater heights.” Arogundade added

The Pioneer President further said that as Prof. (Mrs.) Oyawoye begins another term at the helm of the Advancement Centre, the FUOYE Alumni Association remains confident that her passion, dedication, and innovative spirit will continue to inspire progress and excellence across the university.
