The Administrative Staff of the Faculty of Computing, Federal University Oye-Ekiti (FUOYE), on Wednesday , December 10,2025 held their maiden end-of-year party, celebrating teamwork, unity and progress in a colourful and heart-warming atmosphere.

The event opened with an earnest prayer led by the Head of Department, Cybersecurity, Dr. Stephen Alaba Mogaji, who committed the gathering to God and expressed gratitude for the achievements of the year.
In his welcome remarks, the Dean of the Faculty, Dr. Gabriel Ogunleye, appreciated the staff for organizing such a beautiful event. He commended their contributions toward the steady growth of the young faculty and encouraged them to remain dedicated to the development of the faculty and the university as a whole.
Dr. Ogunleye wished everyone a Merry Christmas and a prosperous New Year in advance.
The Faculty Officer, Mrs. Helen Oluwatosin Ajibaye, in her heartfelt address, described the event as a special moment, noting that it was the first of its kind since she assumed office as the faculty officer.
She expressed deep appreciation for the unity, support and commitment she has enjoyed from all members of staff, urging them to continue projecting the faculty and the university positively.
The Head of Administration, Data Science and Analytics, Mr. Onaga, also lauded the staff for their cooperation and advised everyone to make meaningful impact wherever they find themselves.
Similarly, the Chairman of the Local Organising Committee (LOC), Mr. Paul, thanked the Faculty Officer for her exemplary leadership which, according to him, has enabled the “baby faculty” to make steady progress. He expressed delight at the harmonious working relationship among the staff.
The Head of Admin, Software Engineering and Secretary of the LOC, Mrs. Olorunfemi Oluwaseun, appreciated all staff for their dedication, noting that their collective commitment remains a major driver of the faculty’s growth.
In her goodwill message, the Head of Admin, Computer Science, Mrs. Veronica Ige, offered prayers for the Faculty Officer and all staff members. She encouraged everyone to uphold the university’s rules and maintain a hardworking, disciplined attitude.
Also speaking, Mrs. Ojo of the Faculty Office expressed her joy and thanked staff for their unwavering support for the Faculty Officer, calling for continued unity and love within the administrative team.
The event also had in attendance ex-corper Bright, and current corps members Timilehin, Emmanuel, Jennifer, Jane, and Goodness, who expressed gratitude to the staff for their fatherly and motherly mentorship in the cause of their service period.
The maiden end-of-year party was filled with camaraderie, laughter and reflections, marking a memorable moment in the Faculty of Computing’s journey.
